Question: What can I do if my employer bullies, threatens or terminates me for filing a worker’s compensation claim?
Answer: Worker’s compensation is supposed to be a no fault system. This is unlawful behavior. You can file a Petition for a violation of Labor Code section 132(a). If successfully proven, the employer is guilty of a misdemeanor, and the employee shall be entitled to reinstatement and reimbursement for lost wages and work benefits caused by the acts of the employer.
